As the Republic of New Vanguardia moves towards an era of ever-increasing liberty and choice, we want to make people aware of the political organizations which they can join to make their voices heard. Over the past 24 years, the General People’s Party<\/strong> has been the primary party in the sovereignty, and most people who are members of any party have chosen this as their political home. Soon, as the president has made clear, this will all change. But this does not mean that any Vanguardian must find themselves to be politically homeless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past decade, the General People’s Party has allowed a level of organization outside the GPP, and it has come to an understanding with four parties which joined with it to advance the goals of the state and people of the country. Each of these parties has made clear their intention to stand in the upcoming elections, and it is very possible that they will have significant roles in the next government. Though all GPP selectors are currently barred from making any political movements, it is reasonable to think that several of their members will join with established parties rather than going as independents. So if you have a trusted selector, you may find that they will soon be a part of a new group which aligns with your interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Constitutionalist Party<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

State Assembly seats:<\/strong> 34
The Constitutionalist Party says that its highest interest is in securing a strong constitution as a basis for a strong economy. Their most prominent current members are in the finance sector. Constitutionalists have worked well with the GPP on issues such as securing funding for provincial projects and streamlining taxation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Party of the January 31 Movement<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

State Assembly seats:<\/strong> 28
The January 31 Movement was one of the most pivotal forces leading to the founding of New Vanguardia. Shamefully suppressed during the Crisis Era, the J31 has re-emerged as a party that has played a critical role in the recent history of the state. The coming open elections can be considered their victory, as they have made pluralism their key issue.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Public Interest Party<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

State Assembly seats:<\/strong> 13
The Public Interest Party originally formed out of a group of intellectuals and public commentators who had already been active before the original opening to parties. They are an organized and dedicated party which beliefs that free speech, and especially the freedom to publish, are essential for success in the new era.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Science and Industry Party<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

State Assembly seats:<\/strong> 42
The Science and Industry Party has made innovation and economic growth their defining topic. They are not only known for attracting established business operators but also for drawing in less well-known groups who hope to benefit from the pro-innovation policies that the party promotes.<\/p>\n<\/div>
