The President of the State Assembly is the head of government and acting head of state. The President is a selector who is appointed to their role by the full body of the Assembly. The chief responsibility of the President is to ensure that the business of the State Assembly is conducted in good order and in service of the sovereignty. Beyond that, they are to represent the values of state and sovereignty in decorum and expression.
