The State Commissions of New Vanguardia form its executive state government. Each Commission has a State Commissioner as its executive; the Commissioner is overseen by the Executive Committee, which is itself led by the Executive Delegate. Within each State Commission are many departments and agencies which have direct impacts on the lives of New Vanguardians.
Guidance Committee
The Guidance Committee is not, strictly speaking, a Commission. However, it does oversee one important agency in an executive capacity.

Judiciary Commission
The Judiciary Commission runs all aspects of the New Vanguardian justice system, ensuring that all proceedings are run in a fair and impartial manner. One of its most important duties is setting and enforcing the standards for legal officers. It accomplishes this through mandating membership in the two legal guilds.

Military Commission
The Military Commission is primarily established to deal with all matters pertaining to the military of New Vanguardia: the Sovereign Guard. While the Military Commission does contract with and oversee some minor agencies, it centers around support for only one.

Foreign Affairs Commission
The Foreign Affairs Commission is the diplomatic establishment of the state, dealing with matters both regional and global. All interaction with inter-state and inter-sovereign groups happens through the FAC.

Labor & Internal Affairs Commission
The Labor & Internal Affairs Commission is chiefly concerned with workers and their conditions. As these are very strongly tied to social affairs and other internal matters, the alliance of the two Commissions was natural, and they have been joined for over a decade.

Education Commission
The Education Commission stands on its own to undertake the extremely important task of educating New Vanguardians young and old. Education is intended to be broad and substantive while also providing opportunities for ambition and excellence.

Health & Welfare Commission
The Health & Welfare Commission manages the state medical services as well as provision of all kinds of welfare. H&W consistently ranks as one of the most highly-respected and -valued commissions by everyday Vanguardians.

The Planning Commission is in charge of the state’s infrastructure projects, from construction to management of utilities.

Audit Commission
The Audit Commission is not a well-known organization by most outside the State Assembly, but it is one of the most influential despite that. Reports from the Audit Commission can stop major initiatives to make sure that everything is done the right way. It is also the only state commission without a major subordinate agency (or one of two, if counting the Military Commission).
Finance Commission
The Finance Commission oversees all matters related to state accounts and budgeting. It is the Finance Commission which directly manages spending and monitors debt. It often works in concert with the Audit Committee to rein in financial bad actors.

Economy Commission
The Economy Commission has the sovereignty’s general economy as its responsibility. It seeks to increase the achievement of broad economic goals such as employment, production, and commerce. It also oversees the Central Bank of New Vanguardia, the state monetary authority.

Demographics Commission
The Demographics Commission is capable of conducting extensive surveys of the country with great efficiency. The continuing nature of its statistics collection made the creation of a full and permanent Commission necessary.
